"I've lived in the Highlands for 16 years, having moved here from Appin with my wife and 6 kids, but have worked here for 20 years. The kids are all grown up now, with only our youngest still at home. However, the addition of 3 grandchildren certainly keeps me on my toes. Family is very important to me and I'm blessed to have a family full of talented musicians. My wife, Kate is a local violin teacher and all our children play something and/or sing so family get-togethers often involve some sort of concert or jam.

My career has mostly been in Banking & Finance where I have worked for ANZ Bank, Wizard Home Loans, BDCU and most recently for The Mac as their Lending Manager. I really enjoy helping people with their finances, helping first home buyers plan for their first home, and helping local businesses. I am a bit of a numbers nerd too which helps.

Outside of work and family I really enjoy all types of music. I love live music the most but that has been tricky during COVID-19 when things have been postponed or cancelled. I also love most sports and could easily spend a lot more time on the couch watching sport.

I've been involved in the community, through groups in the Highlands, such as Berrima District Rotary Club, and that was what led me to get involved with Highlands Community Centres Inc. as Treasurer. I am continually amazed at how good the people and programs that HCC have and the impact they have on our local communities.

"I have lived in the local area for over 3 decades. l  am a former Childcare Teacher, was a TAFE teacher, and then a Family Support worker for almost 2 decades. I have been a long time volunteer around Reconciliation, refugees, women's issues, community development, inclusion.

I am a sculptor, gardener, and an avid reader.  I believe that HCC "Stafford Cottage" drop-in info and referral model provides a good soft entry to support around finances, legal info, drug and alcohol counselling and support around family violence."
