Our Programs My Life My Dreams My Life My Dreams is an empowerment program for women. During the course of the program women will make positive changes in their lives by learning skills that will enhance their wellbeing and give them a sense of mastery over their lives. The program is for women aged 18 years and over who aren't currently working. My Life My Dreams is for women that want to commit to change, but aren't sure how or what to do next. The program focuses on: Health and wellbeing: healthy eating, relaxation techniques, gentle exercise, creativity and self care. Personal development: cultivating graditude, improving self-esteem, assertive communication and creating new habits. Building resilience: understanding grief and loss, families and relationships, overcoming adversity and seeking help. Life and work skills: Statement of Attainment in Business (TAFE), preparing for the workforce, volunteering and financial skills. Local agencies, organisations and businesses contribute to delivering the program and sessions are given by presenters that have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in their fields. Breaking down social isolation is an important aspect of the program and women draw a lot of support from the others in the group as well as learning what services are available in the community for help. My Life My Dreams uses evidence-based practices and a strength-based approach that is life enhancing. Women are encouraged and supported to grow and learn with the aim of being the best version of themselves. Outcomes from the program are excellent with women going on to paid work, volunteering and further study. By the end of the program, women report feeling happier and more confident with increased self-esteem and improved relationships with family and friends. My Life My Dreams is truly life changing and creates the foundation for women to start moving towards fulfilling their dreams.
